The 2017 Stones Corner Christmas Market will be a Christmas shopper’s paradise! Packed with fun activities for the kids and plenty of delicious food, it will also be the perfect spot to pick up unique, handcrafted Christmas presents.

Here are the best tips for getting the most from your visit:

1) Go Early Or At Dusk

The Stones Corner Christmas Market runs from 2pm to 8pm. It attracts heaps of visitors, so make sure you come down early to grab all of your Christmas pressies.

On the other hand, the Christmas markets really come alive at night with all of the fairy lights, providing a beautiful atmosphere. Visit the Christmas Markets at dusk or at night to escape the daytime heat.

2) Arrive Hungry. Very Hungry!

The best thing about markets, and particularly Christmas markets, is the food and drinks selection.

The Stones Corner hub is a foodies paradise with the street filled with popular and trendy cafes and restaurants. You will find well-known gourmet burgers and hand cut chips by 5 Boroughs, as well as locally sourced fish and chips and international cuisine like Indian, Mexican and Thai. Or cool down with a delicious Gelati from a local ice-creamery or deep fried ice-cream food truck.

Some of the food trucks at the Stones Corner Christmas Market are not normally displayed at other markets during the year. You’ll also find festive food at the market stalls, like gingerbread houses and Christmas cakes. Yum!

3) Arrive Thirsty Too!

Refreshing craft beer and wine will be on offer at the iconic Stones Corner Hotel pub and nearby hip bars, like Yard Bird and the Bent Elbow.

If you don’t drink, have a coffee, milkshake, freshly squeezed juice, iced tea or fresh cane juice!

4) Visit The Market With Friends And Family

The Stones Corner Christmas Market is a place to meet and hang out with friends and family, and this market is defiantly child and pram friendly! Don’t have kids? That’s okay. Borrow your niece or nephew and have a special day out!

A great idea is to meet at a local restaurant or bar and grab something to eat before checking out the market stalls. There is an ambience you only find once a year, so celebrate it.

5) Find Unique Christmas Presents

Love it or hate it, Christmas Shopping is a task that just can’t be avoided. May as well make it an enjoyable, outdoor experience rather than navigating through a noisy, packed shopping mall.

Market goers can expect to enjoy live music while strolling through the treasure trove of unique, trendy pop-up market stalls. You’ll find a variety of fashion, giftware and homewares, art, craft and books, speciality foods, candles, sweets, kids toys, fresh flowers and jewellery. Christmas gifts for the whole family!

Some Christmas markets are famous for certain things. The Stones Corner Christmas Market is renowned for its locally made Gingerbread houses and handmade cupcakes and sweets.

6) Check Out The Entertainment

The Stones Corner Markets will be playing great live music and entertainment – think choirs, Christmas plays and music performances to name a few.

The kids will love getting their faces painted, receiving a balloon animal and having fun at the petting zoo, jumping castle and pony rides.

7) Get A Photo With Santa

Get excited! Santa is coming to Stones Corner…

For many families, Santa photos are an annual tradition. Come down to the Stones Corner Market, tell Santa your Christmas wish and get your photo taken with him. A photo with Santa is just $5.

Don’t worry if you haven’t made a booking, Santa will be happy to see you on the day!

Santa will be available for photos from 3pm to 7.30pm.

The Stones Corner Christmas Market will be held on Logan Road at Stones Corner from 2pm to 8pm on Sunday 3 December 2017. The market is free to enter but some activities may incur a small cost.
